Summer is here, at least according to the calendar, which means it’s almost time for our next GeekWire Meetup.

We’ve got a fun one planned — an all-ages event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 15 in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. We’re turning our parking lot (at 1455 NW Leary Way, just off the bridge) into a techie carnival, complete with hot dogs from Dante’s Inferno, ice cream sandwiches from Sweet Wheels, carnival games, a soccer kick-off contest, and some great prizes.

Our families will be there, and we’re inviting you to bring yours, as well. General admission is $5, which includes beverages (but not food, which will be sold by the great vendors we’ve lined up.) Kids are free, and developers/designers also get complimentary admission.

Thanks to our meetup sponsors, Microsoft Hotmail, Colliers International, Filter, Golazo, and Buuteeq. Contact rebecca@geekwire.com for sponsorship info.

See this event page to register. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday, Aug. 15.
