Jordan Weisman

We’ve been having fun tracking the progress of Jordan Weisman’s Kickstarter campaign for Shadowrun Returns, watching in amazement after it blew past its original $400,000 goal in 28 hours. Now, the Kickstarter campaign for the classic video game franchise has officially concluded.

And while it was not the top grossing campaign of all time on Kickstarter (that honor goes to the Pebble watch which just topped $7 million in funding and still has 19 days to go), Weisman and crew have got to be pretty pleased since they ended up pulling in $1.8 million from 36,276 backers. That’s nearly five times the original goal.

Here’s a pretty cool video — the 11th update on Kickstarter — with some of the game designers at Harebrained Schemes sharing their thoughts and memories of the original Shadowrun game.

The original Shadowrun game debuted in 1989.
