It’s almost as inevitable as taxes and death. The busted gadget.
Sure, we’ve all seen our fair share of cracked screens before, but most of the time we just suffer through it and use that device until it dies or we get offered a free upgrade. A GeekWire staffer met with a PR person this very week whose phone was “so shattered it was barely recognizable.”
Or how about GeekWire’s Monica Guzman’s badass phone? Heck, I once dropped my iPhone 4S and knocked out the mic, and instead of taking it to get fixed, I talked on speaker phone “Real Housewives” style for the better part of two years to the horror of my colleagues.
