GeekWire is gearing up for Startup Day, coming up Sept. 22 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, and we have some new details to share about this definitive one-day conference for tech entrepreneurs.
The main attraction is the line-up of killer keynoters, from Box CEO Aaron Levie to zulily’s Darrell Cavens, Kickstarter phenom Jordan Weisman and more players to be named later (check here for the complete list and updates). But it should come as no surprise we’re putting some new twists on this popular favorite.
If you’ve enjoyed the reality TV-inspired Elevator Pitch on GeekWire, throughout the morning at Startup Day a handful of lucky entrepreneurs can experience it in person. Startuppers will pitch their ideas to investor judges, get valuable feedback, and audition for a chance to present to the entire Startup Day audience (spots are limited, but pre-registration is available here at no additional charge to attendees).
In the afternoon, we’ll bring you a live version of our Startup Resource Center. Select attendees can get the answers to everything they wanted to know about finance, law, sales, marketing, PR, team-building, design, U/X….but were afraid to ask. Participants simply choose a category and enjoy a 1:1 meeting with best-in-breed advisors (this is a first-come, first-served perk offered at registration, so don’t hit snooze on that alarm clock or you may miss out).
