Like many of us, Seattle-area high school student Zach Sweetser took lots of photos over the Labor Day holiday. But his are way cooler.

Zach Sweetser

Zach, who already has his sport pilot’s license and flies a Cessna 162, also loves building and flying radio-controlled aircraft. He has made a habit of attaching a GoPro camera to his Multiplex Funcub radio-controlled plane to capture some amazing pictures from the air. The photos are taken from an altitude high enough to provide a great perspective but low enough to capture lots of interesting detail.

GeekWire first featured his work in a gallery of pictures taken from the air following a snowstorm this winter. See our earlier post for more technical details on his setup.

Now he’s back with an end-of-summer installment, shot over the popular Gorge Amphitheater concert venue and surrounding areas in Washington state this past weekend. He gave us permission to republish them here. Click on any image below to open a gallery of his shots, and enjoy the view.

Nice work, and thanks for sharing, Zach!
