Seattle’s burgeoning South Lake Union neighborhood conjures images of techies and geeks of all stripes, from Amazon.com developers to startup entrepreneurs to biomedical researchers. But the rapidly transforming neighborhood is getting something else: A Goodwill store.

Our partners at KING 5 report that the 4,800-square foot store will be located at 411 Westlake, just a stone’s throw from Amazon’s massive new headquarters.

“This is going to be a different kind of Goodwill store, one that’s smaller and more modern in design,” Cindi Forslund, Vice President of Operations for Goodwill, tells KING 5.

The store is set to open in July, and now we know where all of the geek hipsters will be shopping in the coming months.
