Seattle startup Limeade announced today that it will bring its online corporate wellness program to Swedish hospital, continuing a string of new deals for the company. Swedish is the largest non-profit health provider in the Greater Seattle area, with more than 11,000 employees.
“As a leader in the healthcare industry and a pillar in the Seattle community, we are thrilled to partner with Swedish to enhance the well-being and health of their employees. We’re excited to energize Swedish employees with fun, social challenges that reward and recognize positive changes,” said Limeade CEO Henry Albrecht.
Limeade, which has more than doubled its staff in the past 12 months, also has inked deals with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Independent Health, Group Health Cooperative and Puget Sound Blood Centers.
Limeade allows employees to set and achieve goals, tracking the accomplishments online. Employees also can earn incentives along the way for achieving goals, say walking or riding a bike to work or performing a good deed.
“True change – true improvement – happens when the mix of individual motivation, peer support and fun is just right,” the company writes on its Web site.
It is one of a number of companies in the Seattle area trying to improve the health of employees, including Habit Labs, Mindbloom and EveryMove.
