John Connors, the former Microsoft chief financial officer and current managing partner at Ignition Partners, has joined the board of New York-based AppSense. The virtualization company raised $70 million last year from Goldman Sachs, the first funding round for AppSense.
“John is a trusted expert in the software industry and has an impressive track record of identifying companies with game-changing solutions that significantly impact the way people interact with technology,” said Charles Sharland, AppSense chairman and founder, in a statement.
Connors — who spent 16 years in executive roles at Microsoft before joining Ignition — joins the company after a significant period of growth. AppSense said that it increased booked orders by 54 percent last year to $71 million.
“This is an extremely exciting time for AppSense as they continue to lead and define the growing user virtualization space,” said Connors.
