Ignition Partners has invested in yet another cloud computing startup, backing 2-year-old Corte Madera, California startup Message Bus. North Bridge Venture Partners led the $11 million deal, with True Ventures and a number of angels also participating.

With customers such as Qualaroo, SmartWaiver and AffordableTours.com, Message Bus has developed a service that increases the deliverability rates of email.

“Every consumer action on a company’s website or application translates into an email, a text or a mobile message: that’s a huge volume of messages that needs to be sent and able to grow over time,” said Ignition’s Frank Artale. “Only a cloud based system allows for this kind of rapid growth and scalability.”

Artale has been leading the charge on a number of Ignition’s cloud investments, including SnapLogic, ServiceMesh and Iron.io.
