Halo fans rejoice:

That’s a tweet from the official Twitter account of Microsoft’s 343 Industries, which is the developer for Halo 4, after taking over the franchise from Bungie.

The latest installment of the blockbuster Xbox 360 franchise is now in certification and on schedule for the Nov. 6 release date. (Yes, that’s also Election Day.)

The game was first announced in the spring of 2011 at the E3 video game conference and will be the first installment of a new trilogy. Halo 4 figures to be part of a busy holiday season for Microsoft’s consumer products, with the Surface tablet and Windows 8 also debuting next month.

“Halo: Reach,” generated around $350 million in revenue in its first months when it debuted in the fall of 2010.

The last short trailer for upcoming the Halo live-action series was also released today.
