We’ve got all sorts of innovation to talk about on this week’s GeekWire radio show and podcast.

Chaitanya Sareen, the CEO of startup Chewsy

We start on a lighter note, talking about one of the more attention-getting stories on GeekWire this week — the JoeyBra, an undergarment developed by UW students, with a pocket for storing credit cards and other objects, including a phone.

From there we explore the most significant news of the week, a Seattle-area startup that plans to send robots into space to mine asteroids, backed by veterans of NASA and some of the biggest names in commercial spaceflight and technology. It’s part of an emerging industry that could make the Seattle region the “Silicon Valley of Space.”

GeekWire’s Rebecca Lovell, who co-hosts the show this week, recaps some of the more interesting technologies and projects from the NWEN First Look Forum and the UW Business Plan Competition.

And then we dive into the world of restaurants and food, with in-studio Chaitanya Sareen, the CEO of startup Chewsy, whose app lets people review, rate and photograph individual dishes at restaurants across the country, originally inspired by a quest for the best Buffalo wings in Seattle. For more background, see our earlier Startup Spotlight featuring Chewsy.

App of the Week: TwizGrid
