Are you ready to ring in the holidays, GeekWire style?

Our big GeekWire Gala is less than a week away, and we’re getting ready to deck the halls of McCaw Hall for the geekiest holiday party of the season. We’re expecting more than 600 entrepreneurs, CEOs, developers and all-around geeks for this one-of-a-kind bash on Thursday, December 6th, where we’ll recognize the GeekWire Newsmakers of the Year and raise a glass of bubbly to a great year in tech.

We’ve got a lot of fun stuff planned for the big night, so make sure to get your tickets today. (Prices will increase Sunday, so don’t get stuck snoozing).

Nothing says the holidays in Seattle like the sweet sounds of Hawaii. That’s right, folks, we’ll be partying in style with Seattle’s most beloved geek ukelele band, The Castaways.

Heck, toss on an Aloha shirt and a lei, and you might just win our Best Dressed competition. Of course, you could also snazz it up (Yes, we’ve heard at least one geek is coming in a tux) or toss on your favorite superhero (or space monkey) costume. (Really, we’re all geeks, so every style is welcome at this bash).

Prizes from Capelli’s (for the guys) and Hot House (for the gals) will be awarded to those who bring the most style. And speaking of prizes, we’ll have plenty of giveaways throughout the evening.

Of course, this is the time of year when we like to think of others too. And as such, we’ve partnered with Vittana for our “Geeks Give Back” campaign, where more than $10,000 has already been raised to combat youth poverty. (More on that effort here).

As you can see, we’ve got a lot shaking next Thursday night, including an after party at nearby piano bar Keys on Main for those who want to keep the festivities rolling.  This is one bash you won’t want to miss.
