The Nook

As I’ve noted in the past, I am not a big fan of electronic reading devices. (In addition to having little time to read books these days, I just can’t stomach the idea of carrying around yet another device).

BlueKai, the online advertising company with operations in Seattle and San Francisco, just released an infographic showing who is actually buying Nooks and Kindles and Kobos.

As it turns out, gift card buyers, country club members, paralegals, iPod owners and dietitians are the most likely to be e-reader buyers. (None of those characteristics apply to me by the way).

BlueKai also found that folks with household incomes between $150,000 to $199,000, coffee/energy drink consumers and international business travelers also are likely to be fans of e-readers. (Once again, I strike out in all of those areas).
