Amazon is aiming to win more business from users of Apple devices — releasing its Amazon Cloud Player music app this morning for iPhone and iPod touch.

The app lets users play songs on their devices after uploading them to the Amazon Cloud Drive service from their computers, or buying songs from Amazon’s MP3 service. It also plays music from iTunes libraries, and lets users add existing playlists from their iPhone or iPod touch.

The Cloud Player app had previously been available only for Android devices, including Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet. The app supports streaming from the cloud in addition to offline playback. Amazon provides up to 5 GB of free storage, with premium plans available for people who want more.

Here’s the App Store download. More details on this Amazon help page.
