If you saw the “Hunger Games” movie but haven’t bothered reading ahead in the books, you might want to keep your head down when you venture outside.

An outdoor ad by Amazon.com for the Kindle shows the opening page of “Mockingjay,” the third book in the trilogy — revealing a number of plot twists from the previous books. If you don’t mind the spoiler, here’s a link to a picture of the ad, as spotted in Washington, D.C.

Apparently this is causing quite the problem for some people.

Writes the Wall Street Journal, “Although the books have been published for years, many are only getting to them now amid the huge success of the Lions Gate film adaptation starring Jennifer Lawrence. And to many readers, the books are highly addictive and absorbing. The last thing most people would want is to be given the plot while casually waiting for the subway.”

Of course, you can file this under first-world problems. If people are truly getting upset, it’s a sign that we don’t have enough real stuff to worry about.
