Microsoft has started to roll out the long-awaited “NoDo” update for Windows Phone — bringing features including copy and paste to users of its new mobile platform. The release was delayed by a couple of weeks when a preparatory update caused some unexpected glitches.

But Windows Phone users may not be seeing the update just yet. Tom Warren of WinRumors reports that it may be weeks before some carriers push the update to their users. The rollout will be gradual, with Microsoft telling WinRumors that it’s “starting small with open market phone customers in parts of Europe this week.”

This update also include bug fixes and performance improvements, but the update with multitasking for third-party apps won’t be here until later this year. (Sorry, Rhapsody users.)

Meanwhile, as noted by ZDNet, the Windows Phone Marketplace has surpassed 11,000 apps.

Follow-up: AT&T’s Windows Phone users face longer wait for update
