T-Mobile USA recently staged this surprise performance at the Woodfield mall near Chicago, directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, who has several episodes of the TV series Glee to his credit.

The performers were 100 Chicago-area women, selected from a larger group of hopefuls.

Sure, it’s a little schmaltzy, but if you’re going to attempt a publicity stunt around the holidays, this is the way to do it. And just when it starts to get a little boring, our favorite T-Mobile spokesmodel, Carly Foulkes, shows up to save the day.
