Rebecca Lovell, Ben Huh and John Cook

The question on the red carpet at the Seattle 2.0 Awards tonight isn’t so much what they’re wearing but what they’re building — and how it might help the Seattle technology community make a bigger impact on the national scene.

And actually we did see some pretty cool shoes.

GeekWire is covering the technology awards ceremony in Seattle tonight, where venture capitalist and keynote speaker Mark Suster used his time on stage to challenge the startup crowd to step up its game. Beforehand, GeekWire’s John Cook and Rebecca Lovell talked to many of the attendees as they arrived on the red carpet.

We’ll be playing extended excerpts from their conversations on this week’s GeekWire Podcast, but see the preliminary video above for a few of the highlights.
