You’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Well, here’s a new one for the holiday season that we can probably dub Expense Tuesday.

A study released today by Concur, the giant maker of travel and entertainment expense management software, finds that December 20th is the busiest day for filing expense claims.

In a blog post, Concur calls this a “yule logjam of reports, receipts and invoices” for accounting departments.

Oh, what fun.

Concur found that expense filings increase 167 percent above the daily average on December 20th as employees rush to get expense reports done before the holiday rush.

“As year-end approaches, many employees rush to submit expense reports, putting increased pressure on accounting teams responsible for processing everything before the holiday break,” said Mike Hilton, executive vice president of worldwide marketing for Concur.
