An event in Redmond on Saturday will feature an incredible lineup of speakers with unique insights into social issues, global challenges, the arts, education and other topics. It just happens to be that they’re all teenagers — or in some cases even younger.
The event is TEDx Redmond, one of the independently organized offshoots of the popular TED conferences. It’s the second year for the Redmond event, which was started last year by 12-year-old Adora Svitak after she spoke at the main TED conference in Long Beach.
Check out the full lineup of speakers and register here to attend the event at the Microsoft Conference Center. It’s students only (under 18) in the main conference room. Parents can buy tickets to accompany their kids but they’ll be directed to a simulcast room to watch.
There’s also a live stream starting Saturday at 1 p.m. for anyone to watch.
As a primer for any adults planning to attend or tune in, here’s the video of Adora’s TED talk.
