Sean Aggarwal

Here’s more evidence that Trulia might be following in the footsteps of Zillow on its way to an IPO. The San Francisco online real estate company has hired Sean Aggarwal, a former PayPal executive as CFO. It also tapped Scott Darling, a former vice president at Imperva, as general counsel.

Companies oftentimes hire new chief financial officers on their way to the public markets, and Trulia’s desire to go public are well known. Zillow went public in July with a blockbuster IPO, though the stock has faltered in recent weeks and the company is now valued at $596 million.

An angel investor, Aggarwal previously served as director of finance at Amazon.com and PepsiCo.

“As a company we have ambitious goals in 2012 and I believe our new additions have us perfectly positioned for a big year ahead,” said Trulia CEO Pete Flint in a statement.

Sarah Bott

Sarah Bott has been promoted to the position of vice president of sales at Zooppa, managing client relationships and sales for the video advertising company. Bott previously worked in advertising and marketing roles at Time Inc.

“Sarah has been a valuable asset since joining Zooppa last year,” said CEO Wil Merritt, CEO. “In this expanded role, Sarah will continue to be a key factor in our growth and success.”

Yapta, the Seattle online airfare refund and travel site, has named Roger Gould as vice president of sales. The Seattle startup said that Gould, a former vice president at Travel Leaders, will be responsible for overseeing sales of Yapta’s business services offering.

“Yapta’s unique model for capturing airfare savings is opening a lot of eyes in the corporate travel space,” Gould said.

Phil Haack has left Microsoft after a four year run to join a new company where he’ll continue working on .NET technologies. He plans to start the new job December 7th.

“My new company often announces new employees and I didn’t want to spoil the surprise! I’m very excited about it as it’s a position that will keep me involved in .NET and working on NuGet, but will also let me stretch into multiple other technologies beyond,” Haack wrote in a blog post.

Haack, who lives in Bellevue, worked as a senior program manager at Microsoft on the ASP.NET team. He called his time at Microsoft “a real blast.”
