Banyan Branch, the fast-growing social media agency, has named Jennifer Blank Hecht to the positon of senior vice president of client services. She most recently worked at Wunderman where she worked on social media efforts for Microsoft’s Emerging Media group.
In addition to Blank Hecht, Banyan Branch also announced that Erik Arpe and Stephanie Camp have joined the company as account directors. Arpe previously worked at Visible Technologies, while Camp previously worked on digital campaigns for Microsoft and Starbucks.
Banyan Branch raised a $1.7 million financing round in October from angel investors Bill Bryant, Geoff Entress, Chase Franklin, Neil Patel and others.
SonoSite, the maker of portable ultrasound devices that’s being acquired by FujiFilm Holdings for $995 million, announced that Marcus Smith is resigning as chief financial officer effective January 2nd. Smith will be replaced by Anil Amlani, the current president and CEO of the company’s VisualSonics unit. Amlani joined VisualSonics in 2005, and before that he served as COO and CFO of MDS Proteomics.
Seattle tech marketing veteran Cindy Spodek Dickey is now president of Radarworks, a creative marketing agency with offices in LA and Seattle. She previously served as vice president of marketing at Kinetix Living and Zumobi, and before that worked in various marketing roles at Microsoft and Walt Disney.
Seattle software developer Anders Conbere has joined the Obama for America campaign as an engineer, looking to use technology to help get Barack Obama re-elected. Conbere most recently worked as an engineer at Estately, and before that held software development positions at Microsoft and aQuantive. Corbis, the digital imagery company owned by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, has named Edie Tobias to the position of senior vice president of commercial products. Tobias will be based in Los Angeles, and will oversee the company’s commercial product groups and growing the Corbis and Veer businesses globally.
