Walter Isaacson’s new biography of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs has already hit the number one position on Amazon.com, just hours after it was released to the public.

And now Reuters reports that the book could very well be the top selling book on Amazon for the entire year.

Amazon.com released the book in an electronic form for its Kindle e-reader on Sunday, a few hours before its national print release. The book is also the top seller in Amazon’s Kindle store.

In fact, another book about the Apple co-founder also has cracked the top 20. “I, Steve: Steve Jobs in his own words” is now ranked #19 in the Amazon best seller list.

The biography was originally supposed to be released in late November, but publisher Simon & Schuster sped up the release date after Jobs died on October 5th.
