Starbucks is looking to give people still more reasons to visit its coffee shops by adding book samples and, soon, TV shows to the promotional items available for free through its Apple partnership, according to a report by AllThingsD.com’s Ina Fried.

We’ve been tracking this arrangement since Starbucks started offering premium iOS apps for free via cards available in its stores a few weeks ago. It was an expansion of the Apple partnership, which previously offered free music tracks in the same way.

The partnership has now extended to books, with this week’s giveaway of an extended book sample from Erin Morgenstern’s “The Night Circus,” and AllThingsD says TV shows could soon be added to the mix, as well.
