Here’s just what every newborn needs: An Angry Birds blankie. Rovio, which conceived the hit mobile game in which birds are flung with a slingshot at evil green pigs, is now bringing the characters to soft baby blankets thanks to a partnership with Seattle’s SwaddleDesigns.
“As parents, one aspect of Angry Birds we appreciate is how protective the birds are and how much they love their offspring,” said Lynette Damir, chief executive of SwaddleDesigns, in a release. “It’s one of the characters’ endearing qualities that resonates with parents everywhere, and a key reason we believe Angry Birds fans will be enthusiastic about our new line of Angry Bird baby products.”
SwaddleDesigns is rolling out a full slate of baby products this October featuring characters from the hit game. Those include receiving blankets, which retail for $28, swaddling blankets, which sell for $20, and sleep sacks, which sell for $38.

I guess this is when you know you’ve made it as a game franchise, which begs the question: Where’s the Plants vs. Zombies baby gear?
