I had the honor of judging the Battle of the Geek Bands with legendary musician Sir Mix-a-Lot earlier this month. During a break in the action, I leaned over to Mix and asked: What’s your favorite app?

A dedicated iPhone user, Mix started going off about iCircuit, a super geeky way to test and build electrical circuits. Many folks don’t know that Mix — best known for his late 80s and early 90s hits Posse On Broadway and Baby Got Back — is a super geek and entrepreneur.

And now the hip hop legend is putting some of those skills to work with the release of his own app, this one taking advantage of his 1992 hit song Baby Got Back.

The description of the 99 cent app  — which is certainly for mature audiences only — is hilarious. It’s described as the “ultimate 21st century booty-based app,” playing off the classic line in the song about “I like big butts.” Here’s more:

“Sir Mix-a-Lot’s Baby Got Back app comes fully-packed with a buttload of hands-on features including the Mix Makeover photo lab, the Ba Dunka Dunk club game, Sir Mix-a-Lot’s Booty Calls, a social media Text Mix and more.”

You may recall that Sir Mix-a-Lot was also recently featured in the Facebook game Mix-N-Match, created by the folks at Seattle’s Giant Thinkwell. As part of that, you may also remember this PR pitch. (I certainly do, as it was one of my favorite moments in journalism).

Now, we just want to know: When is the iPimp app arriving?
