There have been some shifts in the “geosocial universe” in recent days, with LinkedIn going public and Microsoft gobbling up Skype. (Maybe this apocalypse thing really is gonna happen). The interactive agency JESS3 tries to make sense of things, putting some of the big and small planets in alignment. One interesting thing about the infographic below is just how few Seattle area companies are represented, one of the big challenges facing the region. Maybe with Microsoft’s buy of Skype things will start to turn around.
JESS3 notes in explaining the infographic:
“Remember when Friendster dominated the U.S. social space? Like the universe, the geosocial landscape is constantly changing, while new stars are being born, black holes are also developing.”
