Would you take money from these dudes?

For those of you having a hard time getting back into the startup groove following the holiday weekend, here’s a little lighthearted fare courtesy of the rapping VCs at Foundry Group. This boy band of khaki and multi-colored suit-wearing investors certainly impresses.

Led by Foundry’s Brad Feld, Seth Levine, Ryan McIntyre and Jason Mendelson, the quartet belts out lines like: “I am a VC. I am a VC. Don’t go with friends and family because you complete me.”

And my personal favorite: “Hey, will you wear the look? It’s all about the feelings, not the legal terms. When you mentioned NDA, I got concerned. Don’t want to fall in love, and then get burned.”

'It's all about the Hamilton's baby'

This is pretty hilarious stuff, and it is good to see some VCs break down traditional barriers and the stodgy aura that surrounds many private investors. That said, now we know that some of the portfolio companies of Foundry Group — including Seattle’s Big Door and Portland’s Urban Airship — have some good black mail material on their hands.

The Foundry guys have been known to have a good laugh or two. After all, they were also the venture capital firm that led the whopping $30 million venture capital round in Cheezburger Network, the Seattle network of comedy sites.

Maybe Ben and Emily Huh can put their investors to work in a new capacity. What do you say, Cheezburger, a VC humor site?

Enjoy!
