Sutter

Sewichi, the mobile analytics startup backed by Madrona, has named Quantcast co-founder Paul Sutter to its advisory board. Sutter, who started Quantcast in 2006, is a key addition to the early-stage startup given his role in helping to build the fast-growing online audience measurement service.

Sewichi founder David Shim previously worked with Sutter at Quantcast.

In addition to Sutter, Sewichi also announced that Weilie Yi — who previously worked at Kiha Software and at Microsoft Bing — has joined the firm as principal scientist.

A number of companies are attacking mobile measurement or analytics, including Seattle’s Medio Systems and Ground Truth. But Yi, for one, said that Sewichi has developed an unique approach which will help establish a “new standard in mobile measurement.”

Sewichi plans to launch this fall, and it is not yet releasing details about its specific approach.

The company’s other advisors include Zaaz co-founder and CEO Shane Atchison; Quantcast principal scientist Peter Kassakian; and Decide.com senior software engineer Jeff White.
