Last year, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen forked over more than $25 million for a beautiful oceanfront home in Malibu, California. But maybe the West Coast abode just isn’t good enough for the 58-year-old billionaire bachelor. The New York Observer reports that Allen just purchased a $25 million penthouse on the Upper East Side.

A spokesman for Allen tells GeekWire that they do not confirm or deny reports about purchases of private property.

According to The Observer, Allen already owned an 11th floor apartment in the building, an 18-room unit which he purchased for $13.5 million in 1996. The new penthouse, while smaller, provides access to an expansive rooftop deck.

That may be perfect for Allen’s entertainment needs, and he could always ask some of his neighbors to drop by for a cocktail. According to The Observer, other residents in the building include Ace Greenberg, the former of CEO of Bear Sterns, and oil tycoon Sid Bass.

Sounds like the makings of a rager.
