Office Depot is joining its rivals Staples and Office Max in selling the Kindle, the electronic reading device from Amazon.com. Office Depot said that the Kindle will be available to shoppers beginning September 25th.

“We are thrilled to bring Office Depot customers this lightweight, portable, easy-to-read device that allows them to get all the books and news they want, when and where they want them,” said Farla Efros, Interim Head of Merchandising for Office Depot.

Target became the first national brick-and-mortar store to carry the Kindle when it offered the device for sale in April 2010.
