Fallon gets a very special Zelda gift from Fils-Aime

Reggie Fils-Aime certainly has no shortage of choices when it comes to picking a favorite game. But, as it turns out, the president of Nintendo of America is more of a Zelda fanatic than a Mario guy.

Speaking to the Games Blog, Fils-Aime said that his favorite title of all time is Zelda.

“Me personally? It’s like asking me which of my children do I love the most,” he said. “I’m a huge Zelda fan — my favorite game of all time is Zelda: Link to the Past.”

Nintendo actually is gearing up for a big release of the new Zelda title, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which debuts on November 20th.

In an appearance on Jimmy Fallon, Fils-Aime called the new Zelda title “the biggest game we’ve ever made.” He also presented the comedian and avid gamer a special gift, the presentation of which you can watch below.

Meanwhile, in the interview with Games Blog, Fils-Aime also downplayed the possibility of bringing Nintendo titles to other mobile platforms like Android or iOS. He said:

First, we’re an entertainment company. We don’t make devices for the sake of making devices. We make our hardware in order to bring great entertainment experiences to life. Whether that’s the DS, the Wii or the 3DS–or even back to the NES and the SNES–that’s our philosophy. Therefore, the concept of having our core franchises on other systems really flies in the face of what we believe in, and that’s because by understanding the hardware, that’s how we’re able to bring these great experiences forward.
