December 2001: Woz is on board
In a sign of Danger’s rise in prominence, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is announced as a new member of the Danger board of directors.
“Danger embodies the excitement, enthusiasm, and passion that innovative technology is capable of producing,” says Woz in a Danger news release. “It reminds me of Apple’s early days and the focus on building products easy enough for anyone to use. I’m impressed with the way that Danger has filled a void in the market and created mobile technology that is smart, affordable and user-friendly.”
