Last week, the Washington Technology Industry Association posted some short videos of Seattle area entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, journalists (including yours truly) and others talking about what makes the region’s tech sector unique.

We posted the videos under the title: “Hey Seattle, here’s why we’re so gosh darn awesome.”

Now, the WTIA — in advance of tomorrow’s TechNW event in Seattle — has rolled out a new batch of videos featuring Xconomy’s Curt Woodward; angel investor Chris DeVore; Swype CEO Mike McSherry; and Verizon Wireless’ Bobby Morrison.

I’ll be moderating a panel tomorrow at TechNW titled “Seattle as Startup Ground” that will touch on many of these themes. If you have questions or thoughts that you’d like me to address about the positives and negatives in the Seattle tech community, just post them in the comments and I’ll try to bring those up tomorrow.

Meanwhile, here’s a look at the latest batch of videos:

I call it the Dow Chemical effect. Remember a long while ago when Dow Chemical created T.V. ads showing how wonderful they were on the environment? This was done, of course, because they were seriously damaging the environment.

Same here. If Seattle was such a great place for start-ups these videos would be unnecessary.
