Halo 4 is “on the way.”

That’s the (inadvertently) official word from Microsoft this morning. The company isn’t taking the stage at the E3 video-game convention for another half-hour, but its website was temporarily updated a short time ago with much of the news that the company is expected to announce, including another installment in the blockbuster Halo franchise.

Other tidbits revealed by the site “a new look and new features” for Xbox Live, including voice search. And a new Star Wars game using Microsoft Kinect. Update: See the trailer for the Star Wars game here.

Also see a report by VentureBeat on Microsoft’s plans for a Disneyland-themed game.

Josh Phillips spotted the page on the company’s site and posted the screengrab above. Tom Warren of WinRumors was able to grab a bunch of details before the page was pulled down, including video of a new title called Kinect Fun Labs.

Watch Microsoft’s E3 news conference starting at 9:30 a.m. here.
