Do you have Seattle geek pride flowing through your veins? Do you contribute your time and brainpower for the good of the Seattle region’s technology community? If so, and if you’ve always had a secret desire to be a calendar pinup guy or gal, here’s your big chance.

As part of our year-end festivities, GeekWire is launching the first-ever Seattle geek calendar. You know, the kind you hang on a wall.

There won’t be any Sports Illustrated swimsuit models or buff firefighters on this very unique keepsake. And we presume everyone will be clothed. But, you’ve got to admit, geeks are beautiful in their own special way.

We’ll showcase the calendar and our pinups for the first time at the inaugural GeekWire Gala on Dec. 8, a year-end bash which will take place in the Great Hall of Seattle’s Union Station. And here’s the really cool part: A portion of the sponsorship proceeds from the calendar will go to a local charity. (Stay tuned for details).

We’ll feature the winners not only in the pages of the calendar, but at the gala itself. Here’s who we are looking to feature:

–People who’ve contributed in some meaningful way to making Seattle’s tech community a better place to live, work or play. That could include one’s dedication to a non-profit, mentoring others, investment in the future of the startup ecosystem or other causes that make Seattle’s Geekosystem thrive.

Union Station's Great Hall

If you know someone who qualifies, please fill out this form before 5 p.m. Friday, October 28th. From the pool of nominations, we’ll pick 12 winners who will be photographed by the amazing team from Red Box Pictures.

In order to qualify, winners must be available for a 90-minute photo shoot in Seattle on Nov. 3 or 4. They also must be able to attend the GeekWire Gala on Dec. 8. (Winners and a guest will receive free entry to the gala, including the pre-event Champagne toast with GeekWire and the top newsmakers of the year).

So, it’s time to ask: Do you have the geek cred to be Ms. August or Mr. October? Or know someone who’d be a great representative for Mr. March or Ms. November?

Submit a nomination here.

We’ve got a few more surprises in store for the GeekWire Gala, so stay tuned for more details. For those of you who attended our launch party, this is one bash you certainly won’t want to miss. Tickets and details here.
