This week on the GeekWire radio show and podcast, we talk about one Seattle woman’s creative attempt to land a job at Valve Software; Microsoft’s face-off against Apple at University Village, and Bill Nye’s attempt to explain science to Fox News.
Our guests in the studio are Erica McGillivray and Kiri Callaghan, two of the organizers of GeekGirlCon, a nonprofit group holding its first conference in Seattle in October. We talk about the plans for GeekGirlCon, and how it came about, before quizzing Kiri about her Firefly-inspired car, and hearing about Erica’s comic books.
And finally, we give the answer and name the winner to las week’s Name That Tech Tune contest.
