We’re gearing up for the big GeekWire launch event, June 22 at the Showbox Sodo — have you gotten your ticket yet? — and we’re ready to reveal more of our plans for the big bash.

We’ve already told you about GeekBall, a hybrid of billiards and soccer that will be the centerpiece of the evening. You’re no doubt also aware that Big Fish Games will also be staging a mini-golf putt-off, and Decide, Madrona Venture Group and Maveron will be hosting hoops — featuring NBA great Detlef Schrempf.

But here are the latest activities that we’re planning in partnership with more sponsors …

Filter presents: FilterBook Live! On an actual 12-foot high “Wall,” you’ll be invited to share your drawings and ideas about what the future looks like to you!  Not an artist? Not to worry!  Some helpful Filter folks can be “hired” as “Draw-vatars” to artistically interpret your vision to the Wall.  Best of all, you’ll receive an extra drink ticket AND be entered for a chance to win an Xbox 360 Kinect.

Gist/RIM presents: Foosball Tournament! Fast-paced tourney-style foos offers the opportunity for trash talk, t-shirts, and entry into a drawing for a Blackberry Playbook.

Kobo presents: Face Off! KOBO’s VP of Business Development also happens to be a retired hockey player, and can’t wait to dust off his sticks and pads to face-off against … you.  All will enjoy suiting up and a chance to win the puck from Todd Humphrey, and five lucky winners will go home with a Kobo ereader.

TechDwellers presents: Beer Pong! Whether you’re reminiscing about your college days or getting into startup character, you won’t want to miss a tried and true favorite: beer pong. Beer included.  From your good friends at TechDwellers, who will bring the table from their Georgetown digs.

thePlatform presents: Jeopardy! Ready to get your trivia on?  Calisthenics for your brain and index finger– strut your stuff and buzz in for fabulous prizes courtesy of thePlatform.

In short, this thing is going to be a blast, and we can’t wait to see everyone there.
