GeekWire is gearing up for gdgt live this Friday evening in Seattle — the free, all-ages gadget-fest at the Showbox SoDo. Have you gotten your ticket, by the way? Be sure to register here in advance.

We’re honored to have our own GeekWire table at the event this year, and naturally we’ve got something fun in the works. We’ll be bringing in a classic arcade machine — real joysticks and all — and challenging attendees to register the highest score they can in five minutes or until their game is over, whichever comes first.

The first 50 people to compete will get free GeekWire shirts, and the person with the highest score at the end of the night will win a special prize.

Here’s why we’re bringing this up now: We can offer any one of several classic games, and so we’re leaving it up to the GeekWire community to pick. Vote in our poll below, and then join us Friday evening to match your video-game skills against your fellow gadget hounds.

John, while I realize neither would win, I would vote for Bubble Bobble and Stun Runner.

I want to do a write-in candidate for Gauntlet. Loved that game growing up.

Gauntlet we can do. And as fans of both, I can tell you we have the technology for Frogger and Joust!  What’s not to like about
ostriches and amphibians?  Let’s hear it for write-ins. :)

          +1 for Joust

Is it weird that a classic arcade game to me is Street Fight 2, Mortal Kombat, or NBA Jams? I’d kill in either of those. :)

How about missile command?  That was the only one I ever could beat.
