These angel investors are elevating Seattle to new heights. The brains behind Founder’s Co-op and TechStars not only are bankrolling new startup ventures, but Andy Sack, Geoff Entress and Chris DeVore are making sure Seattle’s next generation of entrepreneurs has what it takes to compete on a global scale.

Says DeVore, “Seattle is the underdog that actually has the potential to be a champion, and everyone’s pulling in the same direction to make it so.”

Editor’s Note: GeekWire has identified more than a dozen “Geeks Who Give Back” — people who work in non-profits, mentor others and invest in the future of the tech community. They were all featured in the GeekWire 2012 Calendar, given out at the recent GeekWire Gala. As 2011 draws to a close, we’ll highlight one of them every day, along with photography by Seattle’s Red Box Pictures.

Andy Sack, Geoff Entress and Chris DeVore are our calendar honorees for October. See this archive of the profiles we’ve published so far.

Thanks to our calendar sponsor for the month of October, BigDoor, for helping to make this project possible. Stay tuned for more honorees and photos in the days ahead.

Three great guys, doing great things for the start-up community. Very well deserved! (They look a bit like band members in the pic, no?! :-)

    Great photo.

While I don’t know Geoff, Andy and Chris are two of the best people in town, and that’s before they ever get up in the morning. To say they’re in their sweet spot in the startup community is a gigantic understatement.

They’re proof that nice guys definitely do not finish last.
