Electronic Arts, which just spent up to $1.3 billion on Seattle-based PopCap Games, is discovering even more talent from the Seattle region. The company just announced that Rajat Taneja — a 15-year veteran of Microsoft who most recently oversaw the company’s commerce group — has joined EA as global chief technology officer.
“Gaming is at a technological confluence that is almost unprecedented, where commerce, online delivery of content and services and multiple engagement platforms are converging,” Taneja said in a statement.
Prior to Microsoft, Taneja worked at Digital Equipment Corporation and Wipro Information Technology, Ltd.
