Today is “Cyber Monday,” in case you somehow missed all those ads from all those retailers trying to distract you with the promise of online deals, taking advantage of your reluctance to dig back into work after the holiday.

It’s a bona fide cultural phenomenon, and a key day (or week) for Amazon and other online retailers.

Last year, U.S. online spending on the first Monday after Thanksgiving set a new record, topping $1 billion, according to the comScore Networks research firm. This year it could hit $1.2 billion, estimates comScore’s Andrew Lipsman. Overall online sales are expected to increase 15 percent in the U.S. this holiday season.

So are you on board with this Cyber Monday thing? Vote in our poll below.
