GeekWire is excited to partner with Seattle Business Magazine for the first annual IT Awards, a celebration of the leading developers, engineers, executives, innovators and backroom geeks who just make things work. Winners will be honored at an event in late October, and featured in the November issue of the magazine.

GeekWire will be presenting three of the eight categories, and nominations are open until July 10.

You can nominate yourself and/or others. The process is free and quick (basic contact info and some comments on the executive, company or innovation).

GEEK OF THE YEAR: Nominate an executive in software/IT who has a track record of success in building a company and pushing the industry forward. Click here to enter this category.

STARTUP OF THE YEAR: To qualify, the company must be under 3 years old.  Nominate startups in this sector whom you believe show the greatest promise and potential. Click here to enter this category.

INNOVATION OF THE YEAR: Nominate a startup who is really pushing the boundaries of innovation by introducing the most compelling and novel IT product or service. Click here to enter this category.
