Now, you too will soon be able to travel like a high-ranking diplomat. Uber, the hot San Francisco startup that allows users to dial a private driver from an Android or iPhone app, is coming to Seattle. According to job posts on the company’s Web site, Uber is looking for a city manager and community support manager for Seattle. It is also expanding to Boston, D.C. and Chicago, according to its jobs page.

“We’re a game-changing startup based in San Francsico, providing quality, on-demand car requests (Benzes, town cars, etc.) from the touch of your phone,” the company writes in one of the descriptions.

The company already offers service, which allows users to order up a black sedan from a mobile app and track its arrival time on a mobile app, in San Francisco, Palo Alto and New York. Earlier this year, Benchmark Capital led an $11 million round in the company.

So, will a high-tech limo service actually work in laid back Seattle?

It is too early to say, but it will certainly be interesting to give it a try when it arrives.

In San Fran, the company charges an $8 pick up fee and then $4.90 per mile. There’s a $15 minimum, and tip is already calculated in the price.
