The appearance of that strange glowing orb in the sky means one thing for sun-starved Seattleites: It’s BBQ time. And what better way to celebrate summer’s arrival (finally) than with a old-fashioned bash at GasWorks Park.
Break out of your dark, dank office cube early on Monday, July 25th and join the rest of the tech community for Startup Weekend’s second annual BBQ. GeekWire is serving as a media partner for the festivities, which is also supported by Startup Digest, TechStars, TechCafe, and Hops & Chops.
We’ll be rolling out some of our favorite lawn games, including Bocce, croquet and ultimate frisbee. Recovering Midwesterner’s also will be able to test their skills in a corn hole tournament.
Things will get started at 5 p.m. at the GasWorks pavilion. Kids, dogs and, of course, well-behaved geeks are welcome.
