Mike Daisey

We’ve long been fans of actor Mike Daisey, dating back to his hilarious (and scathing) monologue: “21 Dog Years: Doing Time @ Amazon.com.” So, we were excited when Daisey decided to bring his latest performance — “The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs” — to the Seattle Repertory Theater. We were also thrilled to be included as a media sponsor of the show, which started Friday and has been winning critical acclaim for asking tough questions about the labor conditions at factories where tech gadgets like the iPhone are made.

There’s some exciting stuff coming up this week, and team GeekWire is planning on being there for some of the fun. On Tuesday, it’s time to don your spectacles and black turtlenecks as the theater hosts a Steve Jobs look-a-like contest. Then, on Saturday, it is the big geek night, with the WTIA sponsoring the iBBQ.

We’ve got two tickets for Saturday night’s big show. And in the spirit of the performance, we thought it would only be appropriate to conduct a little trivia contest about the Apple co-founder.

If eating some BBQ, watching some theater and hanging out with fellow geeks sounds like your idea of good time (and it does for us), just answer this trivia question about Jobs: (UPDATE: THE CONTEST HAS CONCLUDED]

“What was Steve Jobs’ parting wish to graduates during his Stanford University commencement address?”

Hope to see you at the show on Saturday.

Congrats to our winner Jigar Mehta of Redmond, who correctly responded in less than three minutes. Thanks to everyone who submitted answers.
