After announcing two weeks ago that he was leaving his job as CEO of RescueTime, the growing company he helped create, Tony Wright had many wondering what he would do next.  We didn’t have to wait long.

In his blog Wright just announced he is joining Feedjit as the interim head of product.  Feedjit is the fast-growing maker of the Live Traffic Feedwidget which lets bloggers and website managers watch their visitors in real-time,see who they are and contact them.

In his blog post announcing the move, Wright says he’s excited by Feedjit’s untapped potential.

“I’ve known Mark and Kerry for a while now and watched them turn Feedjitfrom an interesting side project into a fascinating business with a monsterviral loop. It’s one of those magical businesses where(assuming the servers didn’t melt) that literally can’t help growing10% every single month without a single ounce of effort,” wrote Wright. “I’m personally really excited because Feedjit has never had someone withmy skillset involved in the day-to-day product efforts at the company. The amount of opportunity to do needle-moving stuff is mind-boggling.”
He says he plans to work on exploring the core design and value propositions of the product, helping to grow the team, work on outreach –Wright is known for getting RescueTime plenty of press and more.
Feedjit is already ranked number 3 on the Seattle 2.0 startup index.  Should be interesting to see if Wright is able to move it up even more.
