Sunny Gupta is the founder of Apptio, a company that helps companies assess their IT costs and reduce them. Gupta has quite a bit of experience raising outside capital.  Gupta has raised 37.5 million in venture capital for Apptio from Shasta Ventures, Madrona Venture Group, Greylock and Andreessen Horowitz. Before founding Apptio, Gupta founded Performant, sold to Mercury Interactive in 2003 and iConclude, sold to Opsware in 2007.
