Peter Quinn, Executive Director for NWEN, thinks Entrepreneur University should be on the calendar of anyone looking to prepare for a very different 2009; and one lucky Seattle 2.0 reader will get to go for free.  With cash tight and times uncertain Entrepreneur University offers an opportunity to double-down on your scrappy eIQ (entrepreneurial IQ) and come out a winner.

Mark Your Calendars for November 6th

Logistical details for the event can be found on the Seattle 2.0 events calendar, but here are some highlights to grab your attention.  Already convinced in less than one hundred words?  Register now.
  • This year, the NWEN hosted event is taking advantage of the services provided by local startup Pathable to provide pre and post-event networking opportunities for attendees.
  • Attendees will have the opportunity to sharpen their No. 2 pencils and complete a Core Values Index assessment.  Rumor has it results will influence badge colors to help facilitate new connections.  At the very least its sure to spur some conversation.
  • John Cook of TechFlash, Briar Dudley of The Seattle Times and Eric Engleman of Puget Sound Business Journal.  Watch as one minute pitches by entrepreneurs in attendance are judged by this panel of journalists.  Better yet, prepare your own pitch and have some fun with it!
  •  Seattle 2.0 will be there capturing all the action with photos, video, and blog posts.
Are you attending?  Let us know in the comments and maybe your words will be the tipping point that influences those still on the fence.  Still not convinced you should be there?  Check out this post on nPost about the current economic circumstances, and find out why you should be bullish about starting a business in 2009.

Admit One Free

One frugal Seattle 2.0 reader will receive free admission to Entrepreneur University (a $325 value).
To enter to win, leave a comment explaining why you would like to go and what you are striving to get out of attending.  Make sure to submit with a valid email address.  The good people at Northwest Entrepreneur Network will determine a winner, and we’ll post the winner here later this week.
Update 10/28/2008:  The guys over at TechFlash are giving away two tickets to Entrepreneur University, so if you’re going to the trouble of submitting here why not submit to them as well?  Click here to see their post about the promotion.  Cheers!
Update 10/30/2008:  The deadline for submitting your comments for consideration in the giveaway will be tonight, Thursday October 30th at 11:59pm.
